An open index
A publication cover that makes room for a changing subject, with a stable relationship between title and index.
Edit the cover title. Text stays in this page.
A cover that can change its mind
An open index imagines a small series of essays whose subjects change from issue to issue. Instead of giving each edition an unrelated cover, the study establishes a consistent reading order: series name, topic, and a short index line. The large title is allowed to wrap naturally, with enough space to retain its own shape.
The title is real text
The title field in this study changes the visible cover using live text. Try a short subject or a longer phrase and notice how the composition responds. The sample remains plain text, not an image or an HTML injection. The field has a sensible character limit so the small experiment stays within its intended range.
A study before a publication
No issue has been printed and no essays are sold here. The cover is original artwork for a fictional publication. Paper choice, binding, editorial commissioning, and distribution are outside the scope of this visual exercise. The design asks how a stable structure can leave room for a different voice.
