Objects, before they become products.
Ivo Marr is a fictional industrial designer interested in the moment when a drawing can explain an object without disguising its unresolved parts. These three studies look at different kinds of boundaries: a fold that shields light, an opening beneath a seat, and an edge that gathers small things.
One fewer part
Reducing parts is useful only when it does not move the difficulty somewhere else. A single folded sheet might simplify assembly and complicate tooling. A removable fixing may support repair but need space that the drawing currently omits. The studies keep those questions in view rather than presenting a polished render as proof that the engineering is finished.
A drawing has a responsibility
Dimensions in this collection are illustrative envelopes, not fabrication instructions. The separated view helps explain relationships between planes. It does not certify a joint, a load rating, a material formulation, or an electrical assembly. The proper next step would be a physical mock-up that can disagree with the drawing.
